Berkshire Food Co-op's Board of Directors is comprised of nine Owners who are elected by the general ownership. The board helps to steward and strengthen the Co-op as an important community-owned resource that contributes to a flourishing local food system and supports local farmers and food producers.

Guided by a set of policy guidelines and Berkshire Food Co-op's Ends Statement, the board works closely with the General Manager, who provides the group with regular reports on store operations. The board is not engaged in daily store operations.

All Co-op Owners are invited to attend monthly board meetings. Meetings are generally held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. The board reserves ten minutes to hear from owners who wish to address them.
